Woman crying on another woman's armsAt Life-Refine, we offer outpatient therapy services for individuals who are looking for guidance and support due to a mental health and/or substance abuse issue but do not need the intensive level of treatment in an inpatient setting.

Outpatient therapy offers individuals the flexibility of attending treatment services during the day and returning home to be with family in the evenings. Clients can also choose to take treatment in the evenings so that they can go to school or work during the day.

Our services include:

  • Psychiatric Services
    We provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services that can help those with psychological and psychiatric concerns but doesn’t need inpatient hospitalization.
  • Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Assessment
    ADHD is characterized by hyperactivity, inattentiveness, and impulsivity. If you suspect that your child has ADHD, we have the appropriate assessments to make the right diagnosis.
  • Psychological Evaluations, Testing, and Assessment
    There are different types of mental health issues and diagnosing them can only be done by a qualified mental health professional. If you suspect that you, or someone you know, needs professional help, let us know – we offer psychological evaluations, testing, and assessment that can help determine your condition.
  • Sexual, Physical, and Emotional Abuse
    You are a survivor. You have gone through and survived something that is truly difficult. However, just because you survived doesn’t mean you no longer need help. If you find yourself needing someone to talk to, we are here for you.
  • Adjustment Counseling for Health Issues
    Did your health suffer as a result of your mental health and/or substance abuse issue? If you are having trouble re-adjusting, our counselors can help you.

We also offer:

  • One-on-One Counseling
    One-on-one counseling provides you with the opportunity to personally talk to one of our qualified counselors in a confidential, secure setting.
  • Group Sessions
    Looking for people who can truly understand what you are going through? A group session allows you to speak with and listen to other people who are experiencing the same issues as you are. Group sessions are handled by qualified counselors.
  • Neuropsychological Assessments
    Neuropsychological assessments are used to assess an individual’s cognitive, psychological/emotional and behavioral functioning. Some examples of neuropsychological assessments include Clinical Dementia Rating, General Practitioner Assessment of Cognition (GPCOG), and Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory – just to name a few.
  • Rule 25 Assessments
    A Rule 25 Assessment is a chemical dependency assessment or chemical health evaluation used to determine whether an individual needs treatment and if so, what type of treatment will be the most beneficial.
  • Trauma-Informed Services
    People recovering from, or coping with, a mental health and/or substance abuse issue are often at risk of re-traumatization. For this reason, we offer our trauma-informed services with the aim of reducing triggers and providing our clients with healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Adaptive Yoga
    Yoga isn’t just good for your physical health – it can bring numerous mental and emotional health benefits too. It can increase your body awareness, improve concentration, relieve stress and anxiety, increase mindfulness, and improve your mood.
  • Mindfulness Meditation
    Mindfulness meditation is free and easy to do. You simply have to sit still for at least 10 – 30 minutes per day, pay attention to your breathing, and concentrate on the here and now. By solely focusing on what is presently happening, you give your mind something to focus on, allowing it to quiet down.
  • Art Therapy
    Art therapy involves the use of psychotherapeutic techniques combined with artistic methods to treat psychological disorders and enhance mental health.
